Ernakulam Dist is the Industrial capital for the state of Kerala. The Highcourt of Kerala is located in the heart of this District. The Administrative wing(Ernakulam Collectorate) of the District is situated at Kakkanad.Ernakulam is usually called by name "COCHIN" and is considered as the queen of Arabian Sea.It is a fast growing city with major facilities.The major facilities completed are the Nedumbassery Intl Airport, Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium at Kaloor,AIMS Hospital Edapilly etc.The LNG terminal at Vallarpadam, Smart City at Kakkanad, The Metro Rail Project are some among the coming future project.There are several recreation facilities like Childrens Park,Subhash Park,Marine walk way at Menaka which includes the Rainbow Bridge & the Chineese Net Bridge.
